WINDOWS 2000 HOSTING SUPPORT - FTP

Windows 2000 Hosting Support

What is my FTP host name / address?
Your hostname is ftp.yourdomain.co.uk . Enter /username as your inital remote (host) directory

What is my FTP username and password?
Your username is the one you supplied in your original application, and confirmed in our email to you. Your password is also the one you supplied in your original application, unless you have changed it using the control panel.

How do I upload my web pages to my account?
We recommend using an FTP client like CuteFTP or WS_FTP. A demo version of CuteFTP or a FREEWARE version of WS_FTP can be downloaded from download sites such as TUCOWS. Alternatively such software is very often on the cover mounted CDs of computer magazines such as .net

Where do I upload my website files?
When you login you will see a dir like /username/yourdomain.com/www. This is the directory/folder to upload to.

Where do I upload my database files?
You should use the /username/yourdomain.com/db directory to store your databases in, this is above your webspace and so is a much safer place to store sensitive information

I can only see a readme.txt file?
If when you login you see ony readme.txt and not the directories decribed above, then change directory (ChgDir) to /your-username.
